Last week I met with engaged couple, Lauren and Dan who are getting married next September in Cambridge and wanted a downtown Boston/ waterfront feel for their engagement photos. We met around 9:00 am to avoid the crowds and starting at the Christopher Columbus Park, we walked along the greenway to the Boston Harbor Hotel and Rowes Wharf, then crossed the old Northern Ave bridge over to the Moakley Courthouse to wrap up (Dan is an intellectual property attorney 🙂 While we were a little concerned about rain earlier that week, the day ended up perfect – cool, dry and slightly overcast with some sun peeking out at the end! I often tell my clients that grey/partly cloudy skies actually work better much of the time for outdoor sessions, especially when shade is scarce. (Much less squinting, blinking and no harsh shadows on the face 🙂 Lauren & Dan were awesome – I’m so excited to shoot their wedding in a few months….Here are some of my favorite pics from their session:
