A friend recently turned me onto SVE and the minute I heard her song, “One Day,” I became an instant fan. Her performance at Brighton Music Hall last night did not disappoint. And her opening act, the Joplin-esque Lady Lamb the Beekeeper, was also surprisingly good. Click here to view pics of Lady Lamb.

At the age of 58, Lucinda Williams epitomizes cool. Clad in a leather vest, studded belt and Chuck Taylors, she totally rocked the house. In a word: awesome.
