Headshots for Funny Man: Mike Mindlin | Boston Headshot Photographer

Mike came to me wanting headshots for a few different purposes. An attorney/stand-up comedian, Mike needed both a business headshot for the office, and a performer headshot for his comedy shows. He also wanted a few general purpose portraits. I was probably laughing through at least half of our shoot – definitely a fun way to spend the morning! Here are some of my favorite shots from Mike’s session.

Mike decides he wants in on the photo action and helps out with the reflector! 🙂

Thanks Mike!  I had a blast shooting with you.

Pretty Sisters – Emma & Julia :-) | New England Family Portrait Photographer

I was so glad I got to spend a couple hours with a dear old friend (we’ve been friends since junior high!) before she and her wonderful family returned home from vacation.  We had just enough time to take a dip in the hotel pool and grab a few sandwiches in the lounge before they made their way to the airport.  Erika has the twp most precious girls…just seeing them together puts a smile on my face 🙂  Here are a few shots I took while we were together:

Erika took this next shot of me and Emma playing in the pool 🙂  I love Julia’s little wave goodbye in the 2nd photo!

Nicole’s Flirty-Thirty Boudoir Shoot! | Boston Boudoir & Glamour Photographer

Nicole is turning thirty in a few days.  She runs a successful practice as a licensed acupuncturist and chinese herbalist in Brookline.  She’s about to run her first half-marathon in October.  She’s smart, talented, beautiful, and an inspiration to those who are fortunate enough to know her 🙂  Here are some preliminary pics from Nicole’s shoot:

Arielle’s Forty and Fabulous Boudoir Shoot! | Boston Boudoir & Glamour Photographer

One of the things I love most about doing boudoir photography is hearing from clients after they’ve first seen their pictures…It’s amazing to me how many beautiful, sexy women out there seem to forget how beautiful and sexy they really are!  Let’s be real – we ALL have areas we’re concerned or self-conscious about, and there are flattering and unflattering angles.  Many women who’ve seen the boudoir photos in my portfolio have said to me “your photos are beautiful, but there’s no way I’d look that good!”  I just love proving them wrong 🙂  The fact is, most of us are not a size 0, nor do we still have the skin of a twelve year-old.  And celebrating our beauty, our curves, even the little imperfections that make us all unique, is EMPOWERING!  Last Friday, I had a shoot with Arielle who is in early forties.  She expressed many of the usual concerns about not wanting to look heavy, tired or old.  Once we had the music going, danced around and laughed off some of the nerves, it became less about which outfits to wear and how to pose for the camera, and more about just letting go and having some fun!!  She did a great job and I think it’s safe to say she’s fabulous at 4o — and then some!
