Leah & Todd’s Downtown Boston Wedding at the Milennium Bostonian | Boston wedding Photographer

I connected with Leah and Todd right away when we first met.  They both love to travel and we share an affinity for Paris, where Todd proposed to Leah (also my birthplace :)) Their very “Boston” wedding at the Millennium Bostonian right in downtown, was followed by a lovely honeymoon in Italy.  Here are some highlights from their beautiful late fall wedding beginning with these getting ready shots:

Lovely bride Leah in her stunning dress and veil:

And some shots of the groom getting ready at the other end of the hotel:

Todd’s room had a great view of Quincy Market and the Faneuil Hall Clock Tower:

Soon-to-be husband and wife met up on the roofdeck of the hotel for their “first look.”

We headed across the street to Faneuil Hall for a few shots of the bride and groom while their families and wedding party gathered for photos.

Then we all hopped on the Beantown trolley and headed to the Boston Public Garden for some wedding party formals.  We were pleasantly surprised to find a lot of colorful foliage around Frog Pond for early November:

Despite the chilly temps, Leah and Todd happily strolled through the Public Garden…You wouldn’t know it from the photos (careful timing and selective cropping), but the garden was surprisingly full of visitors.  Thankfully, we managed to get some great shots of the bride and groom:

After leaving the garden, we made one last stop on the trolley at the Old State House.  The light was soft as dusk was falling:

Back at the hotel, we did a few more formal photos of the couple and their relatives in the lovely Millennium lobby:

Then we headed upstairs for the ketubah signing (signing of the Jewish marriage contract) before the start of their wedding ceremony.

Both the bride and groom were walked down the aisle by their parents 🙂

The bride circled the groom three times…

And they stood together beneath the chuppah, exchanging vows:

Then it was time for the breaking of the glass and everyone chimed in with “Mazel Tov!” to the newlyweds…

The dinner reception followed and was full of lovely seasonal details including; leaves, pumpkins, pine cones and hot apple cider:

The bride and groom danced their first dance as husband and wife – now these two can dance!!

After dinner, it was time to cut the cake:

Then the groom danced with his Mom and the bride danced with both her father and Step-father:

The Hora dance was a blast, as always!  If you’ve never been to a Jewish wedding before, this is when the couple are lifted up on chairs while everyone dances and sings around them in joyful celebration.  It’s awesome.

Then the party really got crazy with some impressive freestyle and breakdancing on the dance floor!

It was a lovely wedding for an equally lovely and sweet couple.  Leah and Todd – I loved meeting you both and being a part of your special day…thanks for including me and “Mazel Tov”!!!
